How I'm Feeling

I've found that Calvin and Hobbes seem to apply to every situation... best comic strip ever! Think a clear plastic binder will help? I'm giving the dissertation to my committee members tomorrow, I feel like I've killed a lot of trees lately.

Lazy Saturday

Just hung around the house and watched football with the cats. Then had a great dinner of pan-seared asian sea bass over a bed of mushroom risotto with a spinach salad. Finished off with Italian red wine and learning how to play Rummy. Definitely needed a relaxing Saturday... 2 more weeks...

Friday night

So B called for drinks at Horse and Hound Gastropub, which then turned into dinner at Mas - mmm bread, olive oil and wine. Wore this because I've been stuck in the house all day and just wanted to wear something different.

This is what happens when you are too tired and fall asleep watching TV (if you're the type to balance the remote on your head). A couple moments later when you're asleep, you lose your grip on the remote and it falls, while your hand falls and you hit yourself in the head. Then your girlfriend laughs at you.

new obsession

So I'm really bad at taking pictures of myself using a webcam. Maybe I need to think about investing in a real digital camera if I'm going to continue trying to take pictures of myself. Anyway, here's my new obsession: over the knee socks. Comfortable, warm-ish and you get some strange looks when you walk around in a small town. Apparently I'm ready for fall.

In other news, the dissertation has been turned in to the first reader. Only 3 more weeks... the countdown begins...
